Our client is an established and growing wholesale operation supplying premium products into a diverse customer base. They operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with service and quality at the core of the operation. The company has significant growth plans with investment into operations, infrastructure, and systems, and has built a strong reputation within their market based on quality, reliability, and customer service.
The role involves:
- Leading the end-to-end warehouse operation across goods-in, picking, packing, dispatch, and stock control.
- Building, developing, and managing a high-performing operational leadership team.
- Improving operational performance across service, efficiency, cost, and customer delivery metrics.
- Implementing structure, SOPs, and process improvements to drive consistency and accountability.
- Supporting business growth by ensuring operational capability scales effectively.
Ideal candidate:
- Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager, or Distribution leadership role.
- Strong leadership background managing large teams and developing frontline managers.
- Experience operating in fast-paced food, FMCG, wholesale, logistics, or distribution environments.
- Strong understanding of warehouse KPIs, including OTIF/OSOTIF, labour productivity, and stock accuracy.
- Commercially minded with a track record of improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.
