Location: London based (hybrid)

Client: Renowned FMCG food manufacturer boasting a range of iconic brands, manufacturing own label and branded products, employing thousands in the UK, promoting a culture of progression and promotion within.

The role: Strategic lead for Category Management with key customers in the variety discounters channel. Deliver compelling, insight-focused Category storytelling, lead external retail category strategy, translate Nielsen/IRR/Kantar/Circana/retailer data into actionable insights, share insights with Marketing, Innovation, NRM and sales to guide innovation pipeline and strategy plans.

Responsibilities

• Strategic lead for Category Management with key customers in the variety discounters channel.
• Lead on all strategic retailer partnerships through compelling and insight-focused Category storytelling.
• Deliver through thought leadership, confidently leading on external retail category strategy.
• Translate Nielsen/IRR/Kantar/Circana/retailer data into clear actions and real opportunities for the business.
• Share valuable insights with Marketing, Innovation, NRM and sales to guide innovation pipeline and strategy plans.

Ideal Candidate

• Relevant FMCG Category & Insights experience within a branded FMCG environment.
• Strong experience within the discount or impulse channels.
• Passionate about data, category, insights and people leadership.
• May already be a Category & Insights Controller or operating at a senior level (Senior Category Manager).
