The role:
- As category executive you will support the category managers and the development of growth campaigns to increase market share and drive revenue with customers.
- The category executive will analyse market trends and customer insights to inform product and category strategies
- The category executive is responsible for identifying new growth opportunities and developing category management plans to meet customer and business needs
- The category executive will collaborate cross-functionally with Buying, Sales, and Suppliers to ensure effective execution of category strategies
- You will also coordinate with the campaign & activation team for effective promotions
- As category executive you will be involved in supporting both own brand and branded business across various channels.
- Proven experience in a commercial setting or a related role, preferably within the food or retail industry
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and opportunities in data
- You will be a creative thinker with a flair for innovation and “thinking outside the box”
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder communication skills, you will also have strong negotiation skills and have a result focussed mindset towards delivering success.
- Passion for food and understanding of consumer needs are advantageous
- Confident in working cross-functionally with internal departments and external suppliers
