Seven Resourcing are recruiting for a Legal Adviser to join a busy Property and Contracts team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified legal professional with property law experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive public sector legal environment offering flexible, hybrid working.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality legal advice and transactional support across a broad range of property-related matters.
- Work closely with internal clients and stakeholders, managing your own caseload while ensuring legal compliance and excellent service delivery.
- Handle a varied caseload of property law matters, including sales and purchases of land and property.
- Advise on landlord and tenant matters, leases, licences, and related agreements.
- Draft and review a wide range of legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Deal with Section 38 Highway Agreements and related property transactions.
- Manage Deferred Payment Agreements and associated legal processes.
- Provide clear, practical, and timely legal advice to internal clients.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice.
- Manage competing priorities and workloads to meet deadlines and service requirements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the legal team and wider organisation.
- Maintain accurate records and utilise case management and ICT systems effectively.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge and practical experience of property law.
- Proven experience drafting legal documentation and providing legal advice.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads effectively.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Competent ICT skills and experience using legal case management systems.
- One of the following professional qualifications: Graduate Member of CILEx with a Level 6 Diploma in Law and Practice, including Unit 9 (Land Law), Unit 10 (Landlord and Tenant Law), and Unit 17 (Conveyancing).
