Pay: PAYE: £22.26 per hour or Umbrella: £28.24 per hour

Seven Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced Health Visitor (Social Care Qualified) to join a busy Public Health team within a local authority setting in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified practitioner to support families, infants, and young children through universal and targeted health visiting services.

About the Role

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality health visiting services, working with families from antenatal stages through to early childhood. The role focuses on early intervention, safeguarding, and improving health outcomes for children and families within the community. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary Public Health team, supporting vulnerable families and ensuring children receive the best possible start in life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver universal and targeted health visiting services to families with children aged 0–5
  • Undertake developmental reviews, health assessments, and care planning
  • Identify and manage safeguarding concerns in line with local procedures
  • Provide health education and promote positive parenting and wellbeing
  • Work closely with GPs, midwives, social care, and early years services
  • Support families with complex needs through early intervention strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and reports
  • Contribute to multi-agency meetings and safeguarding case discussions

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) qualification – Health Visiting
  • Current NMC registration
  • Previous experience working as a Health Visitor or in a community public health role
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding children and early years development
  • Excellent communication and case management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
