Locum Recovery Worker – Substance Misuse (Camden)

Pay Rate: £22 - £25 per hour

Seven Criminal Justice is seeking a passionate and skilled Recovery Worker to join a dynamic and busy team in Camden. This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals on their journey to recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, mental health challenges, and other related conditions.

Key Responsibilities of the Recovery Worker:

  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for young people with substance misuse issues.
  • Provide direct support to young people and their families, including those identified by the Youth Offending Team (YOT).
  • Offer specialist consultation to other professionals requiring guidance or support.
  • Work collaboratively across agency boundaries within statutory and third-sector organisations.
  • Deliver accessible, evidence-based advice, information, and support on substance misuse.
  • Facilitate individual interventions and evidence-based group programmes tailored to service users’ needs.
  • Ensure safeguarding and confidentiality in all professional interactions.

Requirements of the Recovery Worker:

  • At least 1 year of experience supporting individuals with substance misuse or related conditions.
  • Strong understanding of addiction, recovery processes, and safeguarding principles.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse individuals, families, and professionals.
