Seven Resourcing are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Mental Health Team in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis. This is a full-time, temporary role offering £52 per hour plus a £150 accommodation allowance.
In this role, you will support adults experiencing mental health difficulties, carrying out assessments, developing care plans, and coordinating multi-agency interventions to promote recovery and independence. You will work closely with health professionals, community services, and families to ensure individuals receive appropriate and timely support.
Key Responsibilities of the Social Worker:
- Undertake comprehensive mental health and social care assessments.
- Develop and implement care and support plans tailored to individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with NHS professionals, community teams, and voluntary agencies.
- Contribute to safeguarding processes and risk management plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with legislation and local policies.
- Participate in supervision, training, and multidisciplinary meetings to maintain high practice standards.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA/BSc/MSc in Social Work, CQSW, or DipSW).
- Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Proven post-qualified experience within a mental health or adult social care setting.
- Sound understanding of mental health legislation, including the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.
- Enhanced DBS/PVG check.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
