Seven Resourcing are recruiting for a senior Head of Housing Works to join a forward-thinking local authority housing directorate in Southampton. This is a high-impact leadership role sitting within the Housing Senior Leadership Team, responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of Housing Works, including repairs, voids, compliance, and investment works delivered through an in-house DLO. The organisation is undergoing a significant transformation programme focused on improving housing services, strengthening performance, and driving better outcomes for tenants. This role will play a central part in that journey.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the Housing Works function across repairs, voids, compliance, and maintenance delivery
- Oversee the in-house DLO ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery
- Work at SLT level to shape housing strategy, priorities, budgets, and performance
- Drive productivity, value for money, and continuous improvement across operations
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory housing standards
- Use operational data and insight to inform commissioning and strategic decisions
- Build strong leadership capability across frontline teams and operational managers
- Champion a culture of accountability, learning, and resident-focused delivery
What we’re looking for:
- Senior leadership experience in housing, asset management, or large-scale repairs/maintenance environments
