Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

Pay Rate: PAYE £20.29 per hour | Umbrella £27.40 per hour

Seven Resourcing is recruiting an experienced Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) to support an Occupational Health service based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. This is a flexible temporary opportunity, primarily working from home, with some travel required to sites across Nottinghamshire for clinics and assessments.

This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse with Occupational Health experience, confident in case management, report writing, and delivering high-quality OH advice to managers and employees.

The Role

As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will provide professional, evidence-based occupational health support, focusing on sickness absence management, management referrals, and pre-employment assessments. You will work closely with managers and employees, delivering clear, practical advice that supports attendance, wellbeing, and organisational compliance.

While the role is largely home-based, you may be required to attend occasional clinics or site visits, so access to a car and a clean driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage occupational health management referrals, producing clear, professional, and timely OH reports
  • Support sickness absence management with evidence-based recommendations
  • Carry out pre-placement triage and medical assessments
  • Undertake driver medicals in line with relevant standards
  • Deliver Hepatitis B vaccinations and undertake venepuncture
  • Triage incoming occupational health referrals
  • Respond to occupational health enquiries via phone and Microsoft Teams
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records
  • Work in line with NMC standards, OH best practice, and data protection requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Health Advisor or within an Occupational Health service
  • Strong experience writing professional occupational health reports
  • Competence in vaccinations and venepuncture (including Hepatitis B)
  • Confident managing referrals and providing management advice
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting

Travel & Location Requirements

  • Predominantly home-based
  • Occasional visits to sites across Nottinghamshire
  • Access to a car, full clean driving licence, and business insurance required
