Pay Rate: PAYE: £27.81 per hour or Umbrella: £36.40 per hour

Seven Resourcing is recruiting for a Deputy Childcare and Children Centre Services Manager to support the leadership and operational management of maintained nursery and children’s centre services in Haringey. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional with strong safeguarding, operational, and team leadership experience to join a busy and supportive service focused on delivering high-quality childcare, education, and family support provision.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will help oversee the day-to-day management of childcare services, support staff development, contribute to Ofsted readiness, and ensure children receive safe, inclusive, and engaging early years experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of childcare and children’s centre services across maintained nursery settings
  • Deputise for senior leadership when required
  • Assist with preparing services for Ofsted inspections and maintaining regulatory compliance
  • Lead staff teams in monitoring children’s development and planning next steps in learning
  • Support supervision, performance management, staff development, and mentoring
  • Lead on sickness monitoring processes in line with council procedures
  • Support safeguarding procedures and act on child protection concerns appropriately
  • Oversee admissions, welfare, and transition planning for vulnerable children
  • Assist with childcare fee administration and budget monitoring
  • Contribute to nursery self-evaluation and development planning
  • Promote positive relationships with parents, carers, and partner agencies
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, and equal opportunities policies
Requirements
  • Experience working within Early Years services delivering childcare, education, and family support
  • Strong knowledge of child development, EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
  • Understanding of the Children Act, SEND processes, and multi-agency working
  • Experience supervising or supporting staff teams
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • IT skills including Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Enhanced DBS required
