Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Community Hub Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of a busy community hub in Westminster on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the hub operates safely, inclusively, and effectively. You will oversee staff and volunteers, coordinate community activities, and build strong relationships with residents, partners, and local services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day running of the community hub as the senior on-site manager
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and operational procedures
- Design and deliver a programme of community activities aligned to local needs
- Build and maintain relationships with residents, voluntary organisations, and local services
- Line manage staff and support volunteers, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture
- Manage the hub budget and contribute to reporting, monitoring, and performance tracking
- Ensure the hub remains a safe, welcoming, and accessible environment for all users
- Support community engagement and encourage participation in local activities and services
About You
You will be a confident and experienced leader with a background in managing community-based services or public-facing facilities. You will be organised, approachable, and comfortable working in a busy environment where no two days are the same. You will be committed to inclusion, community engagement, and delivering high-quality local services.
Requirements
- Experience working in a community hub, community centre, or similar environment
- Proven experience in operational management, including staff supervision and safeguarding
- Experience working with local communities and building effective partnerships
- Ability to plan and deliver community programmes and activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of health & safety and safeguarding responsibilities
- Enhanced DBS required
- No formal qualifications required; relevant experience essential
