Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced and passionate Executive Head of Childcare Services to lead and manage high-quality early years and childcare provision across maintained nursery settings in Haringey. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Early Years professional with strong operational management, safeguarding, and Ofsted knowledge. You will oversee the day-to-day delivery of childcare services, lead multidisciplinary teams, support continuous service improvement, and ensure outstanding outcomes for children and families.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping inclusive early years provision while maintaining high standards across education, safeguarding, compliance, staffing, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage childcare provision across maintained nursery settings
  • Ensure high standards of Early Years education and childcare delivery in line with the EYFS framework
  • Oversee service planning, self-evaluation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement processes
  • Prepare services for Ofsted inspections and maintain compliance with statutory requirements
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for childcare services and respond proactively to safeguarding concerns
  • Monitor children's development and coordinate support for children with additional needs and SEND requirements
  • Manage and support staff teams through supervision, appraisals, recruitment, and performance management
  • Develop strong partnerships with families, schools, health professionals, and external agencies
  • Manage budgets, childcare fee collection, financial planning, and resource allocation
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across all sites and premises
  • Support inclusive practice and promote equality, diversity, and community engagement
Requirements
  • Recognised Early Years or Childcare qualification
  • Significant management experience within Early Years, childcare, or children's services
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding legislation, and Ofsted requirements
  • Experience managing budgets and financial procedures
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
  • Understanding of SEND, child development, and integrated family support services
  • Enhanced DBS required
