Seven Resourcing are recruiting a Commercial Specialist to support a local authority’s Commercial Services team. This is a flexible role offering agile and home working, operating within a category management structure and supporting procurement activity across the full commercial lifecycle.

The Role

You will provide professional, project-focused commercial and procurement advice across services, ensuring the council’s procurement strategy, policies, and UK Procurement Regulations are applied consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver procurement tender projects for goods, works, and services
  • Prepare tender documentation and manage end-to-end tender processes
  • Provide expert commercial and procurement advice to services and senior officers
  • Evaluate tenders and support contract award recommendations
  • Support contract management in line with the Council’s framework
  • Analyse market and spend data to support category and sourcing strategies
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, policies, and standards
  • Support use and maintenance of e-procurement systems

About You

  • Strong experience in public sector procurement or commercial roles
  • Good knowledge of UK Procurement Regulations
  • Confident managing tenders and commercial projects end to end
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Commercially minded with a focus on value for money
