Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join an Adults Community Team in Dumfries and Galloway. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive community-based service, helping adults to achieve positive outcomes and maintain independence within their own homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertaking statutory social work assessments in line with legislation and local authority procedures
  • Managing a varied caseload of adults with complex needs, including physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults
  • Completing care and support plans using a strengths-based and person-centred approach
  • Carrying out risk assessments and safeguarding enquiries where required
  • Working collaboratively with health professionals, carers, families, and partner agencies
  • Supporting hospital discharges and community-based interventions where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate, timely, and high-quality case records

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Registration with the appropriate professional body (SSSC)
  • Previous experience working within an adults community social work team
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practice
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
