Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join an Adults Community Team in Dumfries and Galloway. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive community-based service, helping adults to achieve positive outcomes and maintain independence within their own homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertaking statutory social work assessments in line with legislation and local authority procedures
- Managing a varied caseload of adults with complex needs, including physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults
- Completing care and support plans using a strengths-based and person-centred approach
- Carrying out risk assessments and safeguarding enquiries where required
- Working collaboratively with health professionals, carers, families, and partner agencies
- Supporting hospital discharges and community-based interventions where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and high-quality case records
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
- Registration with the appropriate professional body (SSSC)
- Previous experience working within an adults community social work team
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practice
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills
