Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Disposals Surveyor to support a local authority property and asset management function. This is a key role within the estates and surveying team, focused on delivering efficient asset disposal processes and maximising value from public sector property holdings.
You will play a pivotal role in managing disposal programmes, providing professional valuation advice, and ensuring all transactions are completed in line with legislation, policy, and best practice.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a varied caseload of property disposals from instruction through to completion
- Undertake site appraisals, inspections, and valuation work to support disposal strategy
- Provide professional advice on land and property asset management
- Prepare reports, recommendations, and documentation for internal governance approval
- Liaise with internal departments, legal teams, and external stakeholders
- Support the council in achieving best value from surplus assets
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, procedures, and local authority standards
- Maintain accurate records and reporting throughout the disposal process
- Proven experience in a Disposals Surveyor or similar estates/property role
- Strong background in local authority or public sector property management
- Knowledge of asset disposal processes and valuation principles
- Ability to manage multiple property transactions simultaneously
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- MRICS qualification (or equivalent experience) desirable but not essential
