Seven logistics is looking for an experienced Transport Planner with strong communication skills, good customer facing and the ability to lead a team. As an experienced traffic planner you will have a wealth of knowledge to help support the day to day functions of the traffic office and ensuring our customers receive the best service we can offer.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Planning work from Felixstowe and London Gateway on allocated traffic sheet
- Managing allocated trucks and ensuring revenues and service levels are met
- Managing drivers and ensuring communication and relationships are kept up to high levels
- Ensure all current day issues are managed and resolved efficiently
- Booking and ensuring VBS are booked correctly
Skills and Attributes Required:
- Essential - More than 5 years of experience in a planning role
- Ability to maintain a high level of traffic planning under pressure
- Knowledge of Truckcom preferred
- Understanding of port and VBS systems
- Knowledge of haulage and container industry
- Good customer facing skills
- Attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Good people and team building skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Can do attitude
- Good Team player
- Ability to lead a team
- A driven, confident and motivated individual
- Excellent at problem solving
- Good written and verbal communication skills
