The Vehicle Movements Manager is responsible for overseeing vehicle build process and pre-delivery preparation schedules and managing the accurate and timely off-hire process. This role ensures all builds meet Seven standards and all off-hired vehicles or equipment are inspected, documented, and processed efficiently. The individual would work closely with the Vehicle Finance Co-Ordinator to ensure that vehicle finance is completed on or before the vehicle delivery date, and all supplier invoices are available and approved. In addition to this, they would work with our in-house Compliance department to pass over information in readiness for tax and registration of the vehicles and activate any vehicle contracts. When the vehicle was pre-delivery ready, the role would liaise with our Vehicle Movements department for delivery to our customer.
Key Responsibilities and Duties to Include
- Build Responsibilities
- Oversee vehicle builds from customer order confirmation in line with specifications, additional equipment fitments
- Visit and communicate with partners to check on build progress/delivery timescales
- Ensure all builds comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (liaising with our Compliance department where necessary)
- Conduct pre-delivery checks and quality inspections, working alongside our Vehicle Movements department
- Report defects, missing items, or build issues to the relevant Account Manager
- Maintain accurate build records and documentation
- Carry out pre-off hire communications with customers
- Arrange with our End of Contract (EOC) Supervisor for full off-hire inspections, identifying damage, wear, or missing items
- Accurately record condition, mileage/hours, and defects
- Collate documentation of damage for reporting or recharge purposes and liaise with the EOC Supervisor on EOC recharges
- Update internal systems with off-hire status and inspection results
- On an ad-hoc basis you may be required to assist with vehicle movements, deliveries, and collections
- Support continuous improvement of build and off-hire processes
- Communicate clearly with colleagues, drivers, and management
- Arrange cleaning, repairs, or refurbishment as required
- Supervise any employees who are direct reports. Guide and monitor employee progress and form action plans accordingly.
- Be able to complete Company system administration on time.
- Follow Company procedure around all of our Policies.
- Report back on any required data to Senior Management.
Skills & Experience
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

- Ability to understand/learn operational systems and strong Microsoft Office skills
- Full UK driving licence (or local equivalent)
- Experience with fleet management or vehicle hire
