At 7IM, improving gender balance within the financial services industry is a key priority. While women are expected to hold a growing proportion of UK wealth in the coming years, they remain significantly underrepresented in financial advice and wealth management roles. We are committed to helping address this imbalance by broadening awareness of careers in our industry and supporting greater access to opportunities. This work experience programme forms part of that commitment. It is designed to provide students with insight into wealth management, develop their understanding of professional environments, and help them make informed decisions about future career paths.

  • Hear first‑hand from women within the business discuss their career beginnings, progression, and experiences in overcoming industry barriers.
  • Spend time with teams you are interested in, to gain first‑hand experience of the type of work specific roles undertake, with the opportunity to rotate around 3 or 4 departments of your choice.
  • Work together with other work experience peers to prepare and deliver a presentation to staff within 7IM.
  • Experience 7IM’s values, culture, and people.
  • Network, making valuable connections with key individuals in the business.
