Ensure statutory homeless and rehousing duties are met efficiently.
Deliver a customer-focused Housing Options service, anticipating and preventing housing issues.
Lead complex and sensitive case resolutions, evaluating policies and processes.
Coordinate out-of-hours responses for homelessness issues, ensuring community support.
Develop and implement the Homelessness Strategy.
Manage the Allocations Policy, Housing Register, and lettings functions.
Oversee temporary accommodation strategies and Housing Support initiatives.
Maintain excellent relationships with landlords and Registered Providers.
Act as commissioning lead for housing options IT systems.
Monitor and manage operational budgets for temporary accommodation and statutory homelessness functions.
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
Represent the Housing department at multi-agency forums and deputise for the Head of Strategic Housing when needed.
