What you will do:
- Respond to customer enquiries across multiple channels including telephone, email, online, and face-to-face appointments, delivering accurate information and effective solutions.
- Aim to resolve enquiries at the first point of contact, dealing with matters related to Council Tax, housing, benefits, payments, and more.
- Use effective questioning to understand customer needs and make fitting referrals to specialist Council teams or partner organisations.
- Accurately process applications, payments, forms, and service requests while maintaining customer information and case records as per Council procedures.
GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths.
A qualification in customer service, administration, or an advice-related field is advantageous.
Experience:
- Proven experience in delivering customer service within a high-volume contact centre, public service, advice or local authority environment.
- Experience in handling enquiries via telephone, digital, and face-to-face channels.
- Skilled in resolving enquiries at first contact and making referrals when necessary.
