Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Social Work Advanced Practitioner to join a Children's Social Care service in Knowsley. This is a senior practice role supporting high-quality social work delivery across complex children and family cases, providing professional oversight, guidance, and leadership within the team while maintaining a small caseload. You will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective, and child-focused practice across assessments, interventions, and safeguarding work.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced-level social work practice across Children's Social Care
- Support and guide less experienced practitioners within the team
- Hold and manage complex cases where required
- Contribute to high-quality assessments, plans, and interventions
- Ensure robust safeguarding practice across all casework
- Support decision-making in complex and high-risk situations
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to improve outcomes for children and families
- Maintain accurate and timely case recording in line with statutory requirements

Qualifications
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration
- Significant experience within Children's Social Care
- Experience managing complex safeguarding cases
- Ability to provide informal leadership and professional guidance
- Strong assessment, planning, and report-writing skills
- Excellent communication and multi-agency working ability
- Strong understanding of statutory social work frameworks
- Enhanced DBS required
