Location: Seva Education, Kings Cross
Hours: Split shifts (7.00 am- 9.30 am and 3.00pm – 6.00 pm weekdays) or 3.00-6.00 pm
Contract: 52 weeks/42 weeks per year
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Security: Lock school premises daily, monitor access, and ensure buildings are secure.
- Maintenance: Carry out minor repairs (e.g., changing light bulbs, fixing door handles, key cutting), painting and decoration, assemble flat pack furniture, report major issues to contractors or management. Liaise with contractors. Work three weeks during school holiday times to ensure that school is ready for re-opening.
- Cleaning Support: Assist with emergency cleaning tasks and ensure communal areas are tidy.
- Groundskeeping: Maintain outdoor areas, including litter picking, basic gardening, leaf blowing and gritting paths in winter.
- Health Safety: Conduct routine checks (e.g., fire alarms, emergency lighting, water), ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Deliveries Supplies: Receive deliveries, move furniture, and manage stock of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Event Setup: Prepare rooms and equipment for school events, meetings, or assemblies.
