Everything we do is about delivering excellent services, high quality homes, neighbourhoods we can be proud of and maximising the number of new affordable homes we build.

About The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and credible Talent Development Partner to support the design, delivery and continuous improvement of our learning and development offer, with a particular focus on mandatory, compliance and Health & Safety training across our Property Services workforce. This is not a traditional L&D role. You’ll blend strategic talent development with hands-on compliance management, ensuring our large trades and operational teams have the right skills, accreditations and confidence to work safely, professionally and in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve our learning and development strategy, aligning it to organisational priorities and future skills needs

  • Partner with leaders and managers to identify development needs using performance, retention and workforce insight
  • Design, commission and deliver learning solutions that are practical, high-impact and value for money
  • Champion and manage the Learning Management System, ensuring accurate data, meaningful reporting and a positive user experience
  • Work closely with Health & Safety colleagues to ensure learning supports a safe working environment and regulatory compliance
  • Develop leadership and management programmes that build confident, inclusive and effective leaders
  • Lead and coordinate apprenticeship programmes, ensuring strong take-up and positive outcomes
  • Champion CPD and professional pathways across the organisation
  • Embed evaluation and impact measurement into all learning activity
  • Build trusted relationships with managers and colleagues, acting as a development partner rather than a transactional training provider
  • Collaborate across People & Culture to embed learning into everyday practice

What We’re Looking For

You’re an organised, forward-thinking learning professional who understands how development, compliance and capability work together to support colleague experience, service quality and organisational performance. You’re comfortable working strategically and operationally, and you bring a solutions-focused mindset to everything you do.

Must Haves

  • Experience in a learning, talent or organisational development role
  • Knowledge of mandatory, compliance and Health & Safety training requirements
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to analyse learning needs and evaluate impact
  • Confidence using digital platforms and systems
  • Commitment to professionalism, CPD and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Experience delivering leadership development or apprenticeship programmes
  • Awareness of sector learning trends and professional standards
  • Ability to design digital and blended learning solutions
  • Relevant L&D, HR or coaching qualification, or working towards one
  • Experience designing and delivering organisation-wide learning programmes
  • Understanding of L&D best practice
