This is a rare and exciting opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of investment delivery within one of the UK’s most ambitious housing groups. As Director of Investment Delivery, you will lead a critical function responsible for investment, voids, retrofit and major asset projects across our portfolio.
About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director of Property and as a key member of the Leadership Team, you will:
- Lead the organisation’s investment, voids and retrofit strategy, ensuring delivery aligns with corporate ambitions, regulatory requirements and resident expectations.
- Oversee the delivery of large-scale planned works, retrofit programmes and complex asset projects, ensuring homes remain safe, compliant and of high quality.
- Drive performance, productivity and value for money across in-house teams and external contractors.
- Lead on securing and delivering retrofit funding programmes, including SHDF and other initiatives.
- Champion data-led decision making, continuous improvement and innovation across the function.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, building safety requirements and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to deliver strategic asset management priorities and support long-term sustainability goals.
The role will be based across our operating regions, with regular travel required and a flexible approach to hybrid working.
About you
We are seeking an exceptional senior leader with:
- Significant experience delivering large-scale investment, voids and asset programmes within social housing or a similar environment.
- Proven track record of leading retrofit programmes and securing external funding.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing substantial budgets and driving value for money.
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, including building safety, compliance and housing standards.
- Experience leading high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams and driving cultural and operational change.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at Executive and Board level.
You will be a strategic, forward-thinking leader who is passionate about delivering excellent services to residents, with the ability to balance long-term vision and operational delivery.
