Play a key part in supporting the successful delivery of a portfolio of development schemes. You will help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards, contributing to positive outcomes for residents and communities. Working closely with the Senior Development Manager, internal teams and external partners, you will support schemes through delivery, handover and defects, ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, audit and health & safety requirements while promoting effective collaboration and clear oversight throughout the project life-cycle.
The role is hybrid requiring attendance at our offices in High Wycombe for at least 2 days per week, plus there may be some travel to sites within our area of operation, which includes Bucks, Herts, Oxfordshire and Beds postcodes so a driving licence and regular access to a vehicle is essential.
About the Role/Team
You will support the Delivery Team by project managing a portfolio of development schemes, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Working closely with the Senior Development Manager, internal teams and external partners, you will support schemes through delivery, handover and defects, ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, audit and health & safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage development projects from inception to completion, with support as required
- Monitor programmes, budgets, risks and quality across schemes
- Work collaboratively with Design & Quality, New Business, Sales, Aftercare and external consultants
- Support financial appraisals, forecasting, purchase orders and cost control
- Maintain accurate project reporting and audit‑ready documentation
- Attend site meetings and ensure health & safety compliance
- Support defect management, customer issues and project close‑down
- Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement
Must haves:
- Experience in housing development or a related field
- Knowledge of the social housing sector and construction safety
- Ability to manage project finances and work with third‑party contractors
- Strong communication, organisation and IT skills
- A proactive and solutions‑focused approach
- A full driving licence with access to a car for business use
- Relevant professional membership or qualifications (e.g. CIOB, RICS, IOSH, NEBOSH) are desirable.
