We are looking for a Head of Finance Business Partnering - Property Services to lead strategic financial insight, challenge and decision support across one of the organisation’s largest and most complex directorates. This is a senior leadership role providing trusted financial advice to the Property Leadership Team and ensuring investment decisions, operational delivery and long‑term asset strategies are financially robust, affordable and aligned to organisational priorities.
About the role
You will act as the senior finance partner to the Executive Director and Senior Director of Property Services, providing strategic financial leadership across Repairs, Investment, Voids, Strategic Asset Management, Compliance, Estates Services and Retrofit. You will lead the Property Services Business Partnering team, ensuring the function delivers forward‑looking analysis, strong financial stewardship and high‑quality insight.
You will translate complex operational and financial information into clear recommendations, support long‑term planning and ensure resources are prioritised to maximise customer and business outcomes. This role requires a confident leader who can influence senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions and drive value for money across capital and revenue programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the lead finance partner to senior Property Services leaders, providing strategic insight and challenge
- Support business planning, investment decisions and service transformation with robust financial evaluation
- Provide financial leadership across Repairs, Investment, Voids, Compliance, Estates and Retrofit
- Oversee capital and revenue budgets, monitoring performance and identifying risks and opportunities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities across Property Services
- Ensure forecasts are evidence‑based, accurate and reflective of operational pressures
- Develop meaningful financial and operational performance measures
- Identify efficiency opportunities and support delivery of savings and transformation programmes
- Lead and develop the Property Services Business Partnering team
- Ensure strong financial governance, controls and assurance arrangements
- Support audit activity and ensure timely resolution of findings
- Promote consistency, transparency and integrity in financial reporting
- Support system development and process improvements to enhance reporting and control
