Location of our offices: Chesham, High Wycombe. You'll attend a few times a month for meetings, 1-1s and team catch-ups.

Mobile role: With travel across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and surrounding counties.

Salary: £44,819 plus excellent benefits.

We’re looking for skilled Electricians to join our growing Compliance Testing team. This is a mobile role covering our property portfolio across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and nearby areas. You’ll be provided with a van and fuel card for business use, and you’ll work as part of a supportive, values‑led organisation with a clear social purpose.

About the role:

As an Electrician, you’ll carry out electrical testing, inspections and repairs across our homes, ensuring we maintain full compliance and deliver a high‑quality service. You’ll complete EICRs, emergency lighting tests, repairs and partial rewires, working with a first‑time fix approach and providing excellent customer care in residents’ homes. You’ll work independently across a mobile patch, supported by a wider team who are committed to delivering safe, compliant and well‑maintained homes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
  • Complete installations, servicing, repairs and partial rewires in domestic properties
  • Perform annual emergency lighting tests and other compliance duties
  • Deliver a first‑time fix service with minimal disruption to residents
  • Maintain accurate documentation and job records
  • Follow health and safety regulations and internal procedures
  • Represent SettleParadigm professionally in residents’ homes

What we’re looking for:

Experience:

  • Strong experience in domestic installations, inspections, fault finding, servicing and repairs
  • Good understanding of construction, building regulations and health and safety
  • Excellent communication skills with residents and colleagues
  • Full valid UK manual driving licence

Essential qualifications / Must haves:

  • City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 and 3 (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent)
  • NVQ Level 3
  • Minimum one year of experience in inspection and testing

Preferred/Nice to haves:

  • Confidence working independently across a mobile patch
  • Passion for maintaining safe, compliant homes
  • Experience working in social housing or local authority properties
