Civils Site Agent / Site Manager Location: South & West Yorkshire Sector: Water / Heavy Civils Salary: Up to £70k + Car & Package Setting Out Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Site Agent / Site Manager to join an established Civil Engineering contractor delivering infrastructure projects across South and West Yorkshire. The contractor has been operating for several decades and delivers projects across a range of major frameworks, specialising in heavy civil engineering, utilities and water infrastructure. With a strong pipeline of work secured through the Yorkshire Water AMP8 framework through to 2030, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business offering long-term, locally based projects throughout the Yorkshire Water region. The Projects Projects will typically include storm tanks, combined sewer overflows (CSOs), pumping stations and water treatment upgrades, with values generally from £5m upwards. Typical packages of work include: * Shaft sinking and deep excavations * Deep drainage and pipework * Manhole construction * Reinforced concrete structures * Pumping stations * Temporary works * Concrete and associated civils packages Projects are located throughout the Yorkshire Water region, with current and upcoming schemes across Barnsley, Sheffield, Doncaster, Wakefield, Leeds and surrounding areas. The Role As Site Agent / Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of projects from site setup through to completion. Your responsibilities will include managing site teams and direct labour, coordinating subcontractors and temporary works, maintaining site documentation, and ensuring projects are delivered safely and in accordance with programme and client requirements. You will also work closely with the client and wider project stakeholders, including Yorkshire Water, and assist with contractual matters including Early Warnings (EWs) and Compensation Events (CEs). Other responsibilities will include: * Managing permanent and temporary works * Maintaining and updating site documentation and folders * Producing progress reports and project updates * Coordinating site activities, labour and subcontractors * Ensuring health & safety procedures are implemented and maintained * Completing HSE documentation and supporting client/site audits * Liaising with the client, project team and other key stakeholders * Monitoring programme, quality and site progress About You We are looking for an experienced Site Agent or Site Manager with a strong background in heavy civils, water or utilities infrastructure. You should have proven experience managing projects or substantial packages of work involving areas such as deep drainage, excavations, reinforced concrete and temporary works. Previous experience within the water sector would be particularly advantageous. Ideally, you will also have: * Experience delivering civil engineering projects valued at £5m+ * Strong knowledge of permanent and temporary works * A Site Engineering background – advantageous * Working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts * HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent construction/civil engineering qualification – beneficial * SMSTS * CSCS * First Aid * Full UK Driving Licence Salary & Package A salary between £65k & £70k, dependent on experience, plus car & additional company benefits/package.
