Our Client, a Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor are actively looking to add a Site Engineer to their Civils Team working on a Major Highways Infrastructure project in Cumbria.
The Role: You will play a critical role in the Engineering delivery of a high profile Highways infrastructure project and will be responsible for the on site Engineering elements along with Setting Out, quality control, and daily reporting are successfully delivered. This position suits an experienced Site Engineer looking for a long-term opportunity working on a high profile Infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set out and survey works in accordance with project drawings and specifications. Ensure quality control and compliance with technical standards.
- Assist in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and site documentation.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team to ensure smooth site operations.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries and as-built information.
- Support the resolution of technical issues and contribute to design coordination.
- Promote and uphold health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Site Engineer role on highways or major infrastructure projects.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of setting out, surveying, and construction methodologies.
- Familiarity with National Highways standards and procedures is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- CSCS card and relevant site certifications.
