Freelance Site Manager / Supervisor - Groundworks
Location: Scunthorpe
Start: Mid-March (approx.)
Contract: Freelance
Rate: Competitive (DOE)
SOS Group Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager / Supervisor to oversee a groundworks package on a live site. This role will involve managing works within a fully operational treatment works environment, so previous experience on Water or Wastewater Treatment Works is highly desirable.
Scope of Works Includes:
- Installation of new service ducting
- Drainage works
- Construction of small concrete slabs
- General groundworks associated with infrastructure upgrades
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing day-to-day groundworks operations on site
- Managing subcontractors and site labour
- Coordinating works within a live STW environment
- Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety standards
- Liaising with the principal contractor and site stakeholders
- Monitoring programme and reporting progress
- Ensuring quality and compliance across the package
Requirements:
- Proven experience supervising groundworks packages
- Experience working on Water / Wastewater Treatment Works (highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of H&S within live operational sites
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- CSCS Card (Gold/Black preferred)
- First Aid (preferred)
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
