Freelance Site Manager / Supervisor - Groundworks

Location: Scunthorpe

Start: Mid-March (approx.)

Contract: Freelance

Rate: Competitive (DOE)

SOS Group Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager / Supervisor to oversee a groundworks package on a live site. This role will involve managing works within a fully operational treatment works environment, so previous experience on Water or Wastewater Treatment Works is highly desirable.

Scope of Works Includes:

  • Installation of new service ducting
  • Drainage works
  • Construction of small concrete slabs
  • General groundworks associated with infrastructure upgrades

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day groundworks operations on site
  • Managing subcontractors and site labour
  • Coordinating works within a live STW environment
  • Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety standards
  • Liaising with the principal contractor and site stakeholders
  • Monitoring programme and reporting progress
  • Ensuring quality and compliance across the package

Requirements:

  • Proven experience supervising groundworks packages
  • Experience working on Water / Wastewater Treatment Works (highly desirable)
  • Strong understanding of H&S within live operational sites
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS Card (Gold/Black preferred)
  • First Aid (preferred)
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
