Freelance Quantity Surveyor Required

Setting Out Solutions Group are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support a civil engineering contractor on a live infrastructure package. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in earthworks, piling, roads, drainage and general civil engineering, with the ability to manage commercial duties independently on a busy site.
Duties will include:
- Managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account
- Preparing and submitting applications for payment
- Measuring works and producing accurate valuations
- Managing variations, change control and commercial records
- Supporting CVRs, cost reporting and forecasting
- Liaising with site teams, clients, subcontractors and senior commercial staff
- Ensuring commercial processes are followed across the project
Experience required:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
- Strong background in earthworks, piling and roads
- Comfortable working on live infrastructure or groundworks projects
- Able to work independently and support project delivery
- Good understanding of subcontractor management, valuations and variations
