Freelance Site Engineer – Groundworks Leicestershire

SOS Group are recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join a busy groundworks and civil engineering project on a 6-month contract commencing on 6th July 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong setting out experience to join a well-established contractor delivering a substantial groundworks package.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Setting out for drainage, roads, foundations and associated infrastructure.
- Producing and maintaining accurate QA records.
- Managing and reviewing as-built surveys.
- Liaising with site management, subcontractors and client representatives.
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
- Supporting site teams with technical queries and engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Competent using Leica, Topcon or Trimble equipment.
- Strong understanding of QA procedures and site documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- CSCS Card essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
