We’re representing a long-established civil engineering contractor delivering a variety of infrastructure and groundwork projects across the North West & Cumbria. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Ganger to join their team on projects within commuting distance of two upcoming projects in Preston and Ambleside.
The Role
As Ganger, you’ll take a hands-on supervisory position, ensuring site activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification. You’ll coordinate operatives, manage daily tasks, and maintain quality and productivity standards while supporting the site management team.
Typical Works Include:
- Earthworks
- Groundworks
- Ducting
- Drainage
- Roads and footpaths
- Concrete foundations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Ganger or Working Foreman on civil engineering projects
- Good understanding of Civil Engineering and groundworks operations
- Strong awareness of site health & safety practices
- Ability to read drawings and plan daily tasks
- CSCS card essential; SSSTS or SMSTS advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
