Freelance opportunity with a busy civil engineering contractor delivering a steady pipeline of infrastructure and civils works across the region.

Engineers with experience around National Grid sites, substations, utilities or regulated infrastructure environments will be of particular interest. NG Persons would be a major advantage.

The role:

  • Setting out and QA duties across live civils projects
  • Drainage, ducting, roads, concrete, foundations and infrastructure works
  • As-built surveys and quality documentation
  • Working closely with site management and subcontractors
  • Supporting safe delivery on busy live sites

Ideal background:

  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer
  • Civil engineering or infrastructure project background
  • Experience on utilities, power, substations, National Grid or energy projects advantageous
  • Own kit beneficial but not essential
  • Leica / Trimble / GPS experience preferred

Location:

  • Bradford-based project
  • Long-term workload with follow-on schemes

Rate:

  • £320–£380 per day
  • Long-term contract
  • Travel / subsistence can be incorporated into the rate depending on location and experience
