My client, a well-run Blue Chip Building Contractor, is looking for a Mechanical and Electrical Site Manager to work on NHS and government new builds and refurbishments. The Site Manager will be responsible for the delivery of the project, must be an effective communicator, and be able to successfully lead a small team. This is a temp to perm position. Candidates need to be proficient in the mechanical and electrical side, with a mechanical bias as the project involves heating change and pipework.

The desired Mechanical and Electrical Site Manager must have the following:

  1. Experience of running projects from 1 million to 10 million
  2. Top Tier Contractor background
  3. A record of being client-facing
  4. Project leadership qualities and exceptional soft skills
  5. Strong health and safety awareness and management
  6. Strong technical and financial acumen

Controlling all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical on site, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Programming work schedules and monitoring building progress
  2. Ensuring compliance with regulations and cost limitations
  3. Managing site inductions, method statements, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permits to work
  4. Logistics planning and management of plant and labour resources
  5. Conducting progress meetings with the site team and subcontractors

You will ideally have some previous exposure to government-funded construction projects.

Profile: In order to be considered, you must have a strong construction background and have previously worked for a quality contractor. You must be able to demonstrate a strong track record in having delivered high-profile projects.
