Health & Safety Advisor Manchester Are you a Tech-savvy Health, Safety, and Environmental advisor looking for a new permanent opportunity? We are looking for someone for one of our clients in the Manchester area. The role involves ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation while driving best practices across projects. You will help maintain a strong safety culture, manage HSE policies, and implement environmentally sustainable solutions using advanced technology platforms. Key Responsibilities: – Maintain key industry accreditations (CHAS, Construction line, Safe Contractor) and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. – Develop and review health and safety policies and risk assessments in line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. – Ensure compliance with environmental legislation (ISO 14001, Environmental Protection Act 1990). – Provide HSE guidance during the preconstruction phase, ensuring CDM Regulations 2015 compliance. – Conduct regular site audits using auditing software and lead investigations into safety and environmental incidents. – Manage training programs for staff using digital systems, ensuring training is up to date. – Use digital tools to monitor and manage safety equipment, waste, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction. – Lead environmental initiatives, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon footprint analysis. – Represent the company in client and contractor meetings, using project management software to track and communicate performance metrics. Skills and Requirements: – Advanced proficiency in using HSE software platforms, auditing tools, and project management systems. – Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation (Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, CDM Regulations 2015, Environmental Protection Act 1990). – NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent. – IEMA Foundation Certificate or equivalent environmental qualification (desirable). – Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar HSE management role, preferably within the construction industry. – Strong leadership and communication skills with experience in managing cross- functional teams.
