Based at our Brighton facility (on-site/hybrid), this role involves managing existing and new customer accounts across all product ranges within the region. The goal is to build strong relationships, maximize revenue and margin, and identify opportunities for product and market development.
Responsibilities include following up on leads and enquiries, updating systems like SAP/JDE and Salesforce for accurate sales forecasting.
Essential Functions- Proactively manage customer accounts via phone, Teams, and face-to-face interactions as needed.
- Analyze customer data, market sectors, and product groups.
- Gather and record market intelligence and competitive landscape information.
- Qualify leads to opportunities following Gems Standard Work procedures.
- Communicate pricing updates to customers and negotiate prices.
- Manage new OEM opportunities.
- Handle budget and quota responsibilities for assigned accounts.
- Support territory managers by qualifying leads, assisting with engineering requests, and managing specific accounts within the territory.
- Native German speaker preferred; strong English skills required. Candidates with French or Spanish as native language are also considered.
- Experience selling technical products (Controllers, Sensing technology).
- Relevant inside sales or business development experience in a technical or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- CRM experience, with SFDC knowledge a plus.
- SAP skills are advantageous.
