Description of Job

St Johnʼs Hampton Wick is a vibrant Anglican church within the HTB Network and part of the Diocese of London. We were planted jointly by Holy Trinity Brompton and St Stephenʼs Twickenham in 2010, the church building having been previously closed for many years. Our Vision is to Love Jesus, Build Community and Transform Lives . We have also recently partnered with a neighbouring parish church called St Mark’s Teddington and are looking to strengthen our relationship with them.

We are looking for a Head of Operations to join our staff team. The role will cover operations at both St John’s and St Mark’s locations. You will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient management of the churches’ administrative, financial, and operational functions. You will work closely with the Vicar, taking a key role in setting and maintaining our culture, largely derived from our close connection with the HTB Network. This role oversees key areas such as Finance, HR, Compliance, Safeguarding, Facilities, and Event Management to support the mission and vision of the church. The ideal candidate will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a servant-hearted leadership approach.
