We are seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead a thriving manufacturing & scientific organisation. This is a business with strong foundations, ambitious growth plans, and the potential for M&A activity. The Role
- Lead and inspire a 50-80+ strong team across sales, operations, manufacturing, and engineering.
- Own the P&L and balance sheet, maximising profitability and long-term value.
- Drive the commercial strategy and scale revenue from an already solid £8-16m turnover.
- Refine sales processes, systems, and operations to enable growth.
- Create a high-performance culture where teams are motivated, engaged, and aligned with business goals.
About You
- You are already a Managing Director / GM with a track record of scaling manufacturing or engineering SMEs in the £15m-£200M range and driving commercial growth.
- You will bring proven P&L and balance sheet management, delivering profitable growth.
- A strong commercial mindset with sales leadership experience.
- Operational expertise across manufacturing and engineering.
- Experience of leading change, driving transformation, and uniting teams.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
