Role Overview
The organisation is seeking a motivated and experienced IT Technician to provide hands-on technical support across a portfolio of clients in Swindon, with one visit to Chippenham approximately once a fortnight. This is a field-based role requiring someone who is comfortable working independently across multiple sites, engaging confidently with staff, and managing a varied and dynamic workload. The role is ideal for someone with 2 to 3 years of IT support experience who is looking to build their career in a public-sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site IT support for staff across multiple sites
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems
- Support staff with day-to-day technical issues and promote IT best practices
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and security standards
- Maintain accurate records of IT issues, resolutions, and equipment inventory
- Travel between sites as required, managing your own schedule effectively
Essential Skills & Experience
- 2 to 3 years of experience in an IT support role

- Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365, and common hardware
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals and troubleshooting
