A leading, award-winning mutual insurer in the UK is seeking a Solutions Architect in order to come on board and lead the design and implementation of IT solutions and ensure that technical architecture principles are met for IT system developments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture initiatives from inception to completion
  • Consideration of FinOps impact of solutions
  • Supporting the on-going development of business strategy by highlighting technological developments and technical proposals
  • Improvement and maintenance of IT solutions and provisions
  • Mentoring members of the teams in the engineering, development and architecture team

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect or Technical Architect position
  • Experience working with Cloud Native software and building using cloud-based technologies
  • Effective at communicating technical and IT concepts to a business audience
  • Whilst this is not a coding role, a strong technical background with a willingness to learn and keep up with innovative technologies is highly preferred
  • A team player and mentor mentality who wants to influence and inspire others on the team
  • Industry background in Financial Services or Insurance is ideal but not essential
