A growing UK portfolio group of SME engineering and technology businesses is seeking an experienced Group Sales Director to drive commercial performance, sales consistency, and revenue growth across the Group, by modernisation of CRM's, strategy and sales opportunities working with the sales teams in the individual SME's.
You must have 3-5 years of experience driving new Sales Strategies across groups, and in a Product Engineer/Manufacturing Sales Environment to fit this role.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role focused on improving sales effectiveness, embedding scalable processes, strengthening forecasting accuracy, and building a high-performance commercial culture across multiple technical businesses.
- Develop and execute a Group-wide sales strategy
- Standardise CRM adoption, reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Implement scalable sales processes and KPIs
- Coach and develop sales leadership teams
- Support commercial integration of acquisitions
You will be comfortable operating at both board and operational level, with the credibility to influence technically focused Sales engineering organisations. You will have a strong background leading sales within technical or engineering-led businesses and experience operating across multi-site or portfolio environments.
- Senior sales leadership within engineering, industrial, or technical product sectors
- Proven track record improving sales performance across SME businesses
- Experience with CRM implementation and sales process optimisation
- Strong commercial, forecasting, and pipeline management capability
Experience from SaaS, retail, or pure service sales backgrounds is unlikely to be suitable without strong technical engineering sector exposure.
