About the Role
As a Quality Assurance Technician / Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet quality and compliance standards. You’ll collaborate across design, production, and supply chain teams to drive improvements, support product validation, and maintain regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on, full-time, onsite role reporting to the Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internal audits to support continuous improvement and ensure process compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Lead global regulatory compliance efforts, including proactive tracking of upcoming changes.
- Manage customer returns and supplier non-conformance investigations.
- Carry out product testing and verification throughout the development cycle.
- Develop and execute test procedures, including design of experiments.
- Participate in risk assessments (e.g., FMEA) to identify and reduce product risks.
- Oversee workshop and testing facilities, maintaining equipment, schedules, and 5S standards.
Qualifications
- Some experience/knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Level 4 qualification (HNC) or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Experience with 5S/6S, RCCA, and structured problem-solving tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent analytical thinking and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- 2+ years' industry experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Familiarity with PPAP processes.
- Knowledge of international product compliance standards (e.g., CE, UKCA, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65).
