My client is a 35-45 person product company that designs and builds innovative technology across electronics, controls in outdoor sports, vehicles, marine and diverse product areas in the UK and sells around the world. Their kit is genuinely award-winning — multiple industry firsts, around 300 products, and a team that takes real pride in what they make. We're growing fast, and we need a Head of Supply Chain to help us scale without losing what makes us good.
The role is a senior leadership position with genuine strategic ownership. You'll run everything from procurement and international supplier relationships to inventory, logistics, warehousing, and team. UK sourcing and international complexity — import, export, disruption, all of it — this role has real breadth.
You will be across:
- Procurement & supplier management — UK and international
- Demand forecasting, inventory and warehouse operations
- Logistics and distribution, domestic and global
- Supply chain strategy, KPIs and continuous improvement
- Leading and developing the supply chain team
You are an experienced supply chain professional who's done this in a product business — ideally manufacturing or hardware — and knows how to operate in an SME where pace, adaptability and getting things done actually matter. CIPS is a bonus. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Sage 200 or Netstock is useful. But above all, you want to be somewhere your work has a real impact.
