An established and growing Managed Service Provider is looking to hire an experienced Account Manager with a strong background in the MSP space. This is a new-business-led role, working with qualified leads generated by an internal SDR function, while also owning and developing accounts post-sale. You’ll manage the full sales lifecycle, closing new MSP clients and building long-term relationships, with responsibility for identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across managed services, cloud, security, and project work. This role suits a commercially driven sales professional who understands the MSP market and enjoys both winning new business and growing existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and progress qualified inbound leads through the full sales cycle
- Run discovery calls and client meetings to understand technical and commercial requirements
- Sell MSP solutions including managed services, cloud, security, and professional services
- Close new business opportunities and support successful client onboarding
- Act as the primary point of contact post-sale, managing and developing accounts
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing customers
- Build strong, long-term relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Collaborate closely with technical, delivery, and marketing teams
- Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and activity in the CRM
- Keep up to date with MSP market trends, competitors, and customer challenges
Key Requirements
- Proven experience working within an MSP environment (essential)
- Background in Account Management and/or New Business B2B sales
- Experience selling IT services (managed support, cloud, security, infrastructure, or projects)
- Confident managing the full sales cycle from qualified lead to close
- Consultative sales approach with the ability to speak credibly about IT solutions
- Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
- Highly organised, target-driven, and commercially focused
- Experience using CRM systems and sales tools
