The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established UK technology and cybersecurity specialist that is continuing to grow its solutions engineering/pre-sales function. This role sits at the intersection of security, consultancy, and sales, supporting customers in understanding risk, designing modern security architectures and selecting the right technologies to protect their environments. You will work closely with sales and technical teams, acting as a trusted adviser to customers while helping shape high-quality security solutions across a broad portfolio.
What You Will Be Doing
- Deliver customer-facing technical pre-sales support for security solutions
- Lead discovery sessions to understand customer requirements, risks, and objectives
- Design and present end-to-end security solutions aligned to business needs
- Run product demonstrations and proofs of concept (POCs)
- Support proposal writing, tenders, and scopes of work
- Evaluate and compare vendor solutions to recommend best-fit architectures
- Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a technical pre-sales, consultancy, or customer-facing role within an MSP, IT reseller, or technology partner environment
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity and IT infrastructure
- Hands-on exposure to security technologies such as: Endpoint, firewall, email, or cloud security solutions
- Familiarity with vendors like Sophos, Fortinet, Mimecast, Barracuda, Microsoft, or similar
- Confidence delivering presentations, demos, and technical workshops
- Ability to translate technical detail into clear business value
- Strong written skills for proposals and customer documentation
- UK-based, with a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

- Vendor certifications (security, networking, Microsoft, cloud)
- Experience responding to formal tenders or large proposals
- Background balancing commercial awareness with technical depth
