Build your own rehabilitation practice, with the support of an established health and wellbeing business.
Set The Pace Health & Fitness is looking for a motivated, compassionate and commercially minded Sports Rehabilitator to join our growing health and wellbeing offering from our private studio in Hessle.
This is an opportunity for a qualified Sports Rehabilitator who wants more than simply delivering appointments. Whether you are looking to develop your own client base alongside existing commitments or build towards a more substantial independent practice, this role offers the flexibility, environment and growth potential to make that happen.
You will have the opportunity to develop and manage your own caseload, deliver high-quality musculoskeletal assessments and sports rehabilitation, and build your professional profile within a supportive, established business.
Based in a private studio, you will have access to a fully equipped private gym and rehabilitation environment, providing the space, equipment and flexibility to deliver a varied approach to sports rehabilitation. Whether incorporating hands‑on therapy, targeted rehabilitation exercises, progressive loading or functional movement work, you'll have the facilities to tailor your approach to each client's needs in a professional, private setting.
There is also the opportunity to become involved in Set The Pace’s growing Workplace Wellbeing Programme, supporting local businesses across Hull and East Yorkshire. This could include workplace musculoskeletal assessments, injury‑related support, rehabilitation recommendations and helping employees manage physical challenges that affect their health, work and everyday lives.
With flexible working arrangements, a progressive earning structure and opportunities to benefit from referrals through our existing network, this is a role with genuine potential to develop over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, build and manage your own sports rehabilitation client base.
- Deliver high-quality musculoskeletal assessments and sports rehabilitation within your professional scope of practice.
- Assess and manage appropriate musculoskeletal injuries and movement-related conditions.
- Design and deliver personalised rehabilitation programmes, incorporating exercise therapy, movement and progressive loading where appropriate.
- Support clients in reducing pain, restoring function and returning safely to sport, exercise, work and everyday activities.
- Monitor client progress and adapt rehabilitation plans in line with individual needs and outcomes.
- Provide clear, practical advice on injury management, prevention, recovery and home rehabilitation.
- Promote your services and take an active role in generating new client enquiries.
- Build positive, lasting relationships with clients, supporting engagement, confidence and rehabilitation outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with Set The Pace and other relevant professionals to support a joined‑up approach to health and rehabilitation.
- Contribute to workplace wellbeing services through on-site visits to local corporate clients, where agreed.
- Conduct appropriate workplace musculoskeletal and physical health assessments and provide individualised recommendations within your scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records and uphold relevant professional, safeguarding, data protection and health and safety standards.
About You
You are a proactive, approachable and dependable Sports Rehabilitator who enjoys helping people get back to doing what matters to them.
You will be confident working independently, making sound clinical decisions within your scope of practice and communicating effectively with a wide range of people, from recreationally active individuals and sports participants to employees and business representatives.
You will also recognise the importance of developing a client base, building professional relationships and helping grow a service, while maintaining excellent clinical standards.
We would ideally like someone with three or more years' relevant experience, although applications from newly qualified or less experienced practitioners are welcome if they can demonstrate the clinical knowledge, professionalism and motivation to develop the opportunity.
