WHO ARE WE? Sessions is building the operating model for the future of restaurants, giving consumers instant access to the brands they love, wherever they live. Our distribution engine runs through 400+ delivery kitchens and 16 high‑street restaurants across the UK. Founded in 2020 and led by former Deliveroo MD Dan Warne, Sessions has grown 7x in three years. The platform has processed over 5 million orders and reaches 60 % of the UK population. Our team brings experience from Deliveroo, Amazon and Gousto. We scale brands at a pace that redefines what’s possible in food.

ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a dynamic Growth Manager to own all things “consumer” at Sessions. You’ll sit across two pods:

  • Brand Performance Pod – a weekly sprint focused on improving delivery menus across our brand portfolio. You’ll identify opportunities from platform data, competitive insight and customer behaviour, then execute changes.
  • Retention Pod – a weekly sprint focused on transforming the customer experience to drive reorder rates and habit formation. You’ll lead this pod by providing consumer insight, jobs‑to‑be‑dones analysis, and a clear point of view on what drives or kills retention.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Brand Performance
  • Lead the weekly Brand Performance Pod sprint – set the agenda, prioritise tests, and drive execution.
  • Analyse performance data, customer reviews, and competitor menus to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build new techniques and associated metrics to help us better understand the consumer performance and what drives results.
  • Own the menu experience end‑to‑end: structure, item naming, descriptions, imagery briefs.
  • Build and maintain a testing backlog of menu optimisation hypotheses, and report on results weekly.
  • Retention & Consumer Insight
    • Lead the Retention Pod with deep consumer understanding – what jobs are customers hiring our brands to do, and where are we falling short?
    • Understand and champion the consumer across the business. Build our personas and work cross‑functionally to help drive understanding and change behaviour.
    • Build the customer story behind retention metrics: map the journey from first order to habitual reorder, and identify the moments that matter.
    • Translate insight into action – work with the pod to define and prioritise product, experience and new product development changes that will shift retention.
    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (reviews analysis, customer interviews, order data) to continuously sharpen the team’s understanding of our consumers.
  • New Brand Go‑to‑Market
    • Lead go‑to‑market strategy for new brand launches – from concept through to live on platform.
    • Define positioning, target customer, competitive differentiation and launch messaging for each new brand.
    • Coordinate cross‑functionally with operations, design and franchise teams to ensure launches land cleanly and on time.
    • Build post‑launch performance frameworks to assess brand‑market fit and inform iteration.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Education: Degree from a top‑tier university.
    • 3–5 years in a growth marketing role – ideally in a startup, QSR, FMCG, or a marketplace/platform business.
    • You’ve shipped things, not just strategised about them. You’re comfortable owning outcomes, not just outputs.
    • Strong consumer instincts backed by data. You can tell a story about why customers behave the way they do, and you can back it up.
    • Experience with jobs‑to‑be‑done or similar frameworks for understanding customer needs and purchase drivers.
    • Comfortable working in sprints and fast feedback loops – this isn’t a quarterly planning role.
    • Clear, concise communicator who can turn messy insight into a sharp brief or a convincing recommendation.
    • Curious about food trends and competitive dynamics. Bonus if you’ve worked in or around aggregator marketplaces.
    • Analytical and numerate. You don’t need to be a data scientist, but you should be comfortable in spreadsheets and dashboards.
    • Expert level of English language.
    • Right to work in the UK.
