WHO ARE WE?

Sessions is building the operating model for the future of restaurants, giving consumers instant access to the brands they love, wherever they live. The Sessions distribution engine runs through more than 400 delivery kitchens and 16 high street restaurants across the UK. Founded in 2020 and led by ex-Deliveroo MD Dan Warne, Sessions has grown 7x in three years. Our platform has processed over 5 million orders and reaches 60% of the UK population. Our team brings experience from Deliveroo, Amazon and Gousto. We scale brands at a pace that redefines what is possible in food.

We are Agile – thrive in fast pace, sprint, adapt, and learn. We are Ambitious – contribute to something big and watch your career grow. We are Fun – high performance, high fives, join a team you'll love. We are Data-Driven – turn insights into action, lead with evidence. We have Initiative – anticipate problems and drive the solution.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a dynamic Growth Executive to join our growth team. You will sit across two pods.

  • Brand Performance Pod – a weekly sprint focused on improving delivery menus across our brand portfolio. You’ll identify opportunities from platform data, competitive insight and customer behaviour, then execute changes.
  • Retention Pod – a weekly sprint focused on transforming the customer experience to drive reorder rates and habit formation. You’ll support this pod by providing consumer insight, jobs‑to‑be‑done analysis, and a clear narrative on what’s driving (or killing) retention.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Brand Performance Support the Brand Performance Pod sprint – help inform the agenda, prioritise tests, and drive execution. Analyse delivery platform data, customer reviews, and competitor menus to identify opportunities for improvement. Own the menu experience end‑to‑end: structure, item naming, descriptions and imagery. Build and maintain a testing backlog of menu optimisation hypotheses, and report on results weekly.
  • Retention & Consumer Insight Support the Retention Pod with deep consumer understanding – what jobs are customers hiring our brands to do, and where are we falling short? Build the customer story behind retention metrics: map the journey from first order to habitual reorder, and identify the moments that matter. Translate insight into action – work with the pod to define and prioritise product, experience and NPD changes that will shift retention. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (reviews analysis, customer interviews, order data) to continuously sharpen the team’s understanding of our consumers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Degree from a top‑tier university.
  • At least one year of commercial experience, ideally in a startup, QSR or marketplace/platform business.
  • Experience shipping outcomes, not just strategies; comfortable owning outcomes, not just outputs.
  • Strong consumer instincts backed by data; able to tell a story about why customers behave the way they do.
  • Experience with jobs‑to‑be‑done or similar frameworks for understanding customer needs and purchase drivers.
  • Comfortable working in sprints and fast feedback loops – not a quarterly planning role.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can turn messy insight into a sharp brief or a convincing recommendation.
  • Curious about food trends and competitive dynamics; bonus if you’ve worked in or around aggregator marketplaces.
  • Analytical and numerate; comfortable in spreadsheets and dashboards.
  • Expert level of English language.
  • Right to work in the UK.

BENEFITS & PERKS

  • Financial: Share Options; Pay day on demand – access to pay whenever needed; Expense card – company card; Finance Platform – access to 'Mintago', Financial Wellbeing Platform.
  • Social, Mental & Physical Wellbeing: Hybrid Working – up to 2 days working remotely per week; Holidays – 25 days + bank holidays + Birthday Off; Healthcare – Healthcare CashPlan scheme; Employee Assistance Programme – support for mental health and legal services; Socials – monthly socials; Dog Friendly – dogs welcome in the office; Wear what you like – no suits and ties required.
  • Technology Perks: Laptop – Apple Mac; Phone – Apple iPhone and company sim provided.
  • Progression & Development: High Growth Start Up – chance to be part of a growing company with plenty of progression opportunities; Be Inspired – learn from a team that has scaled some of the UK's biggest consumer companies; Membership & Qualifications – Sessions provide funds for work‑based qualifications and memberships.
