ÂŁ45k - ÂŁ50k HYBRID - London Based (Victoria Station) & Remote 1 or 2 days per week. Sessions is building the operating model for the future of restaurants, giving consumers instant access to the brands they love, wherever they live.
About The Role
With Sessions currently gearing up for Series B funding and preparing to launch into international markets, we are entering a high‑velocity era of expansion. We are looking for someone to join now so you can deeply embed yourself in our culture and processes before the storm. Initially, your primary focus (roughly 70‑80%) will be Talent Acquisition. The remaining 20‑30% will support the Head of People on foundational HR projects and tasks. As we grow and our hiring pace stabilises, we expect the role to evolve into a well‑rounded People Partner, managing employee relations, performance cycles, and culture initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition
- End‑to‑End Ownership: Manage the full lifecycle of recruitment across various departments (Tech, Sales, Ops, etc.)
- Sourcing Strategy: Proactively hunt for passive talent and build a diverse pipeline
- Candidate Experience: Ensure every applicant has a world‑class experience, regardless of outcome
- Employer Branding: Help tell our story through LinkedIn, careers pages, and networking events
- Onboarding: Partner with the Head of People to refine a seamless transition from “Candidate” to “Team Member”
- Learning & Development: Identify skill gaps and coordinate/host training initiatives to grow the team
- Diversity & Inclusion: Assist on D&I initiatives including hiring processes and supports for employees with disabilities and adjustments
- Performance Management: Support processes surrounding performance cycles, goal‑setting frameworks (OKRs)
- Employee Relations: Manage junior HR processes – disciplinaries, grievances, conflict resolution – with empathy and compliance
- IT & Systems: Assist with queries or setting up tech for teams
- Health & Safety: Ensure a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment
Requirements
- Recruiter-Generalist: 2+ years of experience in high‑volume or startup recruitment. Comfortable on the phone and proactive on LinkedIn.
- Series B Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by building processes from scratch before the company doubles in size.
- Process‑Driven: Enjoys systems, compliance, and documentation; strong organisational skills.
- Resilient & Empathetic: Can navigate difficult conversations with a human‑first approach. Charismatic and energetic with a passion for food.
- Expert level of English language.
